Why buy renters insurance?
Renter’s insurance covers damage to, and loss of, your possessions. Renter’s Insurance typically covers the occurrence of damage from things like fire, smoke, hail, lightning, wind, hail, explosions, riots, water damage from pipes, theft, and vandalism. Landlords generally have insurance to cover their building, but did you know that tenants possessions aren’t covered in case of fire, burglary or other causes? In fact, your items might not be covered even if damage is caused by the landlord or his employees. If your apartment is destroyed by fire, rental insurance may help provide funds for a place to stay temporarily.
