The Stevens Point Country Club boasts a full eighteen hole course with a PGA professional and staff to assist visitors with anything they may need. The club is open to non-members, but membership also includes membership to the Bull’s Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids and the Wausau Country Club in Wausau, Wisconsin, giving residents and weekenders alike 3 club memberships for the price of 1.
The Stevens Point area boasts an intricate cross country ski trail system, many of which double as mountain bike trails in the summer months. Much of downtown has been designated as a historic site, offering up many different quaint shops and cozy restaurants. Museums and art galleries also occupy downtown Stevens Point, bringing culture into central Wisconsin.
Another popular attraction in the area is the Stevens Point Brewery, which has been brewing quality beer since it was founded in 1857. The brewery has a long history, from providing beer to Civil War troops to brewing “near beer” & soft drinks during prohibition. Point beer is available throughout the Midwest, and the brewery has become a popular tourist destination as well as an important historic site.
