Learn to Speak Japanese

without comments

Attempting to learn to speak Japanese without experience with the language is a formidible task. Unless you already speak a language with some similar roots, such as Korean, or a dialect of Chinese, it is a daunting challange to learn Japanese. Indeed, learning any new language is always hard when you have no knowledge of a similar language.

There are a lot of classes and programs available to learn to speak Japanese, just like any other language. The one I recommend most is called Tell Me More.

Tell Me More is a fantastic interactive program and online resource which can help you learn just about any language you’d ever want to, including Japanese. Widely advertised, it is exploding in popularity across the world. The Tell Me More software program is self-contained, easy to use and lets you start learning immediately.

When you are a beginner attempting to learn a difficult language, it makes sense to use a program that starts you from scratch, rather than trying to translate everything from one language to another. Unless you already speak some Japanese, or some similar language, translating is going to make the learning process take ages. For one thing, many phrases don’t translate from English to Japanese or vice versa. Secondly, translating is just an additional step that makes the whole process that much more tedious. The nice thing about Tell Me More is that it teaches you new languages the same way you learn your first language, by associated images, texts, & sounds, together without the memorizing or translating.

If you’ve taken language classes before in high school or college, the methods used in Tell Me More programs like it might seem a bit unusual but it is a very intuitive system that will feel very natural to you in no time at all. If you want or need to learn to speak Japanese, I definitely recommend it. Additionally, use whatever language program you get in conjunction with renting Japanese movies, watching Japanese TV (if you can get it) or even better, hang out with Japanese people. Learning the lessons in a program is one thing, but then using them in real life is another.
