San Diego Area RealEstate

without comments

Are you considering a move to San Diego? Deciding where you want to live in the San Diego area is the first consideration. Do you want to live near the ocean or further inland? The San Diego metropolitan area is quite large. San Diego area realestate can be expensive for housing, or quite reasonable , it just depends on what you’re looking for. For many the lure of living in or near San Diego is the close proximity to the beach plus the always wonderful climate in this part of the country. Here you can have both! You can buy a home along the Pacific coast highway or live bit further inland and drive a little farther and still enjoy all benefits that the San Diego area offers.

If you have a trendy, excusive area in mind, start in La Jolla, located just north of San Diego along the coast. Prices begin from around $350,000 to a lofty $5 million. Fine museums and galleries, shopping & restaurants will keep you occupied, as well as searching for the perfect oceanside condo or home. The La Jolla area is also home to world class golf resorts, hightech research and health-care facilities. Moving further north along the coast, the lovely communities of Solano Beach & DelMar offer more of the same with beaches within a short walk from your abode, if that is what you desire. Continuing up the coast, you’ll encounter Oceanside, Encinitas, and Carlsbad which offer many of the same amenities as well, with prices ranging from $150,000 to $ 5 million.

Inland communities, for example Mira Mesa, Clairemont and Scripps Ranch also have a lot to offer, with excellent schools and family centered neighborhoods. Prices range much like the north coastal area, but you’ll usually get more for the money since you’re no paying for close ocean access.

Those planning to buy or sell San Diego area real estate are advised to research on the web and hook up with a licensed respected realtor that will work in your best interest. Since southern California is such a popular destination, there are many services and agents from which to choose, and it would be wise to do your research and choose accordingly. You can always combine a vacation with house hunting, as many do, and check out what’s available to ensure that you’re happy with your decision to relocate. Good Luck!
