Bogus degrees a problem for employers.
Employers have faced a growing problem in the hiring process. Many prospective employees use phony educational degrees from ‘diploma mills’ on their resumes. In many instances, these ‘colleges’ use names sound like well known, accredited, universities.
During recent congressional testimony, it was reported that over 200 diploma mills, operating in the United States and worldwide, bring in at least $200 million a year selling these bogus degrees.
A recently developed U.S. Dept.of Education website is now offering a master list of nearly 7,000 colleges and universities which are properly accreditied. This valuable resource is located @
